Eligible homeowners can apply directly for an interest-free loan to cover their battery purchase and installation. Loan repayment periods can extend up to 10 years with no interest, and applicants may undergo a simple credit check. This loan support complements the federal rebate and solar systems incentives so households and home businesses can spread costs while receiving the rebate amount upfront.
Approved Vendor List and Accredited Vendors
Only approved vendors on the supported solutions list and accredited vendors certified by the Clean Energy Council can supply and install batteries. Local installers must follow Virtual Power Plant Requirements set by Horizon Power Services and Synergy to ensure technical compliance and ongoing internet connection if required.
Batteries must be batteries installed new, not second-hand, and have at least 5 kWh usable battery capacity. Products must be on the approved list to access the rebate. This ensures safety, performance, and compatibility with the grid in Western Australia.
